Trip to Warsaw

Today I came back after 11 days in Poland. It was the first time we were separated with Warwick for so long. The fresh country side and family did wonders for my pregnancy. The thing that made me the happiest is babysitting for my 10 months old niece Zuzia. I was never alone with a tiny baby before and the fact, that I changed her, fed her and put her to sleep all on my own, made me so much more confident to be a mother myself! I miss her already!

We just came back from a trip in the South of France. Provence is my dad’s favourite place. He went there in the 50’s as a young student and fell in love with the place, being a Gaullist and francophone just added to the charm. I completely agree with him, Provence is stunning. All around us was red earth, lavender, sunflowers and olives. It was nice playing boules in the all day long hot sun. It’s a pity that I was in the hormonal and “need to eat now” stage of my pregnancy, apparently it will pass soon. It was not really the best time to travel, but we got the tickets before we had a clue about being pregnant and decided to go ahead. Still it was not all that bad and Warwick had lots of his favourite lemon tarts!
